Selling Restrictions on Medical Devices

Shopping with confidence is one of the highest priorities of Amazon. Certain products have additional regulatory requirements. If you wish to sell those products, you are required to apply and submit documents showing that the products are safe for customers.

Sellers who list medical devices are required in Singapore to provide either:

  1. A valid manufacturer’s licence, importer’s licence, or wholesaler’s licence issued by the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore (HSA);

    or

  2. A purchase invoice verifying that the medical devices they wish to sell have been obtained from a licenced medical device dealer.
Important: Only medical devices that have been registered with HSA may be listed.

Document Requirements:

A valid Medical Device Dealer’s Licence evidencing the dealer type (Importer, Manufacturer, or Wholesaler).

A purchase invoice for medical devices purchased from a licenced medical device dealer. Please note that we may verify your submitted documentation by contacting product vendors you identify in your application.

Examples of products that fall within this restriction:

  • Heart rate monitor
  • Pregnancy test kits
  • Thermometers
  • Contraceptives
  • Adhesive bandages and plasters
  • Cotton swabs
Note: List of example products is not exhaustive.
