Shipping and routing requirements

Important: Failure to comply with FBA product preparation requirements, safety requirements, and product restrictions may result in the refusal of inventory at the Amazon fulfilment centre, disposal or return of inventory, blocking of future shipments to the fulfilment centre, or charging for preparation or for noncompliance at the fulfilment centre. Share these requirements with your carrier or vendor to ensure that they fully understand these requirements.
Note: Double Stacked pallets are NOT allowed and will be rejected.

The following requirements apply to all boxes shipped to Amazon fulfilment centres whether by small parcel delivery, less than truckload (LTL), or full truckload (FTL) shipping.

  • Each box must be limited to contain only one shipment ID.
  • Each box should weigh no more than 30 kg, unless it contains one single oversized item that exceeds 30 kg. Boxes weighing more than 22.7 kg must be marked Heavy Package (viewable from both the top and sides of each heavy-weight container). Cartons weighing more than 30 kg must be broken down into smaller shipment weights.
  • Box dimensions should not exceed 150 cm on any side, unless the dimension of a single deliverable unit exceeds 150 cm in itself.
  • All boxes must be standard shippable containers that will sufficiently protect the contents during transit and processing at Amazon's fulfilment centres. Examples of appropriate containers include RSC (regular slotted box), B flute, ECT-32 (edge crush test), 200BH (burst strength). Boxes must not be secured or bundled together using plastic straps or tape.
  • Additionally, do not bundle shipping boxes using bags, elastic, or extra straps. The contents must not overhang the pallet edge by more than 2.5 cm on any side.
  • Boxes must not be bagged or covered in stretch wrap. However, all pallets must be wrapped in clear plastic stretch wrap with a do not break stretch wrap or do not break down notification to the carrier.
  • Boxes must not be covered in packing tape as this prevents them from being able to be recycled.
  • Neither point-of-sale containers nor bulk boxes may be used for delivery. Only standard deliverable containers should be used.
  • Products to be sold as sets (for example, a NASCAR® set of six unique Hotwheel® cars, sold as one unit) must be marked as sets on shipping containers and packaging. This includes multi-volume set media publications. Place markings for sets on top of the container over the box flap joint.
  • Boxes must be packaged so that the contents can withstand the rigors of transportation and processing at Amazon fulfilment centres. If you have to use dunnage while transporting your shipments to the fulfilment centre, ensure that you use Amazon-approved forms of dunnage.

List of approved forms of dunnage:

  • Air pillows
  • Full sheets of paper
  • Polythene Rolls
  • Newspaper
  • Thermocol Sheets
  • Sheet foam
  • Bubble wrap

List of unapproved forms of dunnage:

  • Shredded paper
  • Thermocol chips
  • Styrofoam peanuts. All types of packing peanuts, including those made of biodegradable material or corn starch
  • Crinkle wrap

  • Acceptable Pallets:
    • Use 1.0 m x 1.2 m, 4-way access, wooden pallets. If a single, large Unit cannot fit on a 1.0 m x 1.2 m pallet without overhanging the edges, use a pallet size and type that is suitable for the Unit.
    • Ship only on pallets that are in good condition.
    • Do not ship Units on pallets made of a weak material such as cardboard or particle board.
    • Broken and damaged pallets are not acceptable and may be rejected at the seller’s expense.

  • Palletised deliveries must be made on a vehicle that is able to reverse up to our loading bay door and allows access (and safe removal of the palletised delivery) to the rear of the vehicle via a standard manual pallet jack (no powered industrial pallet trucks are allowed for use in the facility). This should be at least a 7.5 t vehicle or greater with a reinforced floor.
  • The dock height in Singapore FC is 1.3m. Please take note that the delivery vehicle must fit this height limitation to allow rear unload for pallets as no Powered equipment or forklift will be provided. Unloading is only possible through manual pallet jack

  • Pallets can be built up to a maximum of 1.6 metres high, including the pallet.
  • Double-stacked pallets are NOT allowed and will be rejected.
  • Regardless of the pallet option, pallets must not exceed 500 kg in gross weight including the weight of the pallet.
  • All pallets must be stretch wrapped in plastic.
