Product Selection List for Promotions

When you create a promotion, you can create a list of products to which the promotion will apply. This is called the product selection list. See Types of Product Selection Lists.

You may edit many aspects of a product selection list. The only information you cannot modify is the list name (Tracking ID) and the change history.

Creating a Selection List

To create a product selection list, follow these steps:

  1. On the Advertising link, select Promotions.
  2. Click on Manage Product Selection.
  3. On the Manage Product Selection page, select a Product Selection Type and click on Create Product Selection.
  4. On the Create Product Selection page, enter a Product Selection Name / Tracking ID, Internal Description (for your use only), and a list of identifiers (based on the type you selected).

For the Advanced Product Selection type, the identifiers are based on a series of conditions. See "Creating an Advanced List" (below) for details.

  5. Click Submit to save your new product selection list.

Creating an Advanced Selection List

For the Advanced Product Selection type, follow these steps:

  1. On the Advertising link, select Promotions. On the Seller Central home page, go to Inventory and select Promotions .

  9. Specify whether your product selection is an inclusion list (is in list) or an exclusion list (is not in list).
Note: When you place a parent ASIN in an exclusion list, it automatically disqualifies the child ASINs from your promotion. When you place a parent ASIN in an inclusion list, it automatically includes the child ASINs in your promotion.
  10. In the text box, enter a list of identifiers (based on the type you selected) that will be included or excluded.
  11. To add more conditional products, next to Add another condition using, select the type of identifier to use for the additional condition.
  12. Click Add another condition using.
  13. In the text box, enter a list of identifiers (based on the type you selected) that will be included or excluded.
  14. When you have created all your conditions, click Submit to save your product selection list.

Editing a Selection List

To edit a product selection list, follow these steps:

  1. On the Advertising link, select Promotions.

  1. On the Advertising link, select Promotions.
  2. On the Manage Product Selections page, click the Tracking ID of a product selection.
  3. Click View change history to review edits made to this product selection list.
