Changing images from other vendors
Hello,
Thanks in advance for reading.
We sell our products on Amazon using Amazon Seller Central. We are currently running into a problem where some other vendors who sell our products on Amazon are using old and outdated images to represent our products as-well-as selling some of our products for under MAP. (another problem all together)
We have reached out to several of these vendors and they told us that they cannot update the images only the registered brand own can change them. HOWEVER we are the registered brand owner and I still cannot figure out how to go about doing this.
Can someone please provide me with some detail on how to accomplish this? As I mentioned, we are the registered brand owner with Amazon.

Silly question, but are you brand registered?

No, TVOI50 was asking if you were brand registered in Amazon brand registry.

Any seller with an offer should submit accurate images so they need to go in and update in their listings. Amazon chooses the image from among all sellers not just the brand owner.

If you're a registered brand owner and the the listings have your brand listed under "Brand" you can override any content in those listings by adding the listings to your catalog and then updating the content. You can do this for all listings, including for products you're not actively selling.

Quick clarifying question - you mentioned you need to change the pictures but can't "figure out how to go about doing this". Have you already tried loading the pictures onto the detail page? When you are on the Edit Detail Page is it showing the live images on top and the images you tried uploading on the bottom? Or is it showing the same outdated images on top AND bottom? Depending on your answer there are two different issues.
If it's showing the same on top and bottom AFTER you've tried uploading the images then only Amazon can fix this (and it's going to be a nightmare. We had to do this recently).
If it's showing the live images on top and the new images on bottom then it's likely that your new images don't meet Amazon's guidelines. I would try uploading a higher quality image one at a time and see if it updates. That's the most common, but it could also be that your image doesn't take up enough of the page, it's not product on white background, you could have items in the picture that aren't allowed...without more context I can't say for sure. If you can provide more information or screenshots then forum members might be able to answer your question better.

Amazon made a brilliant policy change a few months ago to let any seller submit images for products. Amazon had huge backlash on the forums from people predicting exactly this issue. In Amazon's mind, it will be better if all sellers put up images and Amazon chooses what to use. In reality, it makes problems like this and people stealing listings easier.
Just another way Amazon is quickly ensuring it becomes a junk website. Many articles have been published in large publications about the junk, ads for junk, and difficulty of finding what you actually want on Amazon. I am not sure they will change before they take a hit they may not recover from.
