I've been trying to run a coupon I've run many times before with no issues. Except now with the new policy, 51 of my 52 items are suppressed.
The why is as clear as mud, the way "support" explains it. That is, copy and paste of the unhelpful amazon explanation. I asked them to be specific about how I can fix it, and I think they basically told me there was nothing I could do. Wow.
Sellers want to offer a coupon to customers - why is amazon making it so ridiculously hard for sellers to do this? I don't understand why there is even a reason for this stupid new policy.
Does anyone even understand what their "WAS pricing" means?? "Several factors are checked including but not limited to, catalogue updates, changes to pricing, and historical pricing."
I want to offer a coupon for a custom item I make myself. How is the above supposed to apply to me when I have made no changes to pricing, etc.
So basically I now cannot offer a coupon, and I don't really understand why, and I am told I cannot do anything about it. Whoever thought this was a good idea to implement needs to be fired.

Hi @Seller_RjohQ7XXQIuIr
The "why" is that Amazon is not singling you out for this treatment. Amazon has new coupon pricing requirements. We would love to let all sellers advertise whatever price savings they wanted to, but the reality is that we need to be able to make sense of pricing.

Hi @Seller_RjohQ7XXQIuIr
When the pricing policy was updated in early March, I did some online research. I read an article posted by eCommerceBytes that I thought gave a pretty fair analysis. You might search for that article and come back here and tell me what you think.
Thanks, Susan
Totally confused, it worked for a month, then it asked me to lower the price again, the coupon system works to lower your selling price every time, it doesn't align with the old selling purpose now. Stupid Move
This is a loose form of price fixing. Anytime a seller is asked to lower the price of their items that is a form of price fixing. Amazon needs to keep their grubby little hands off the price. That is up to the seller and the marketplace.
We've run into this same issue, and when submitting coupons the error comes back as Amazon pricing issue and that is too low for margins. The weird thing is that when we analyze all other market platforms, this pricing is in line with everything else. We have come to realize that if you drastically reduce Amazon's profit, it can trigger that flag immediately.
