AWD Resize Labels to 4x6

There have been a few threads concerning the inability to generate 4x6 format labels from the send to AWD workflow. At this time only A4 format is available. Thank you to Gift_Shoppe_UK_789 for supplying a workaround. For those who do not have Adobe Acrobat, I thought I would post another workaround.

I used an online PDF converter smallpdf.

1. You do not have to start a free trial or sign in. From the “tools” drop down menu, select rotate PDF. Use “choose files” to open the PDF file from the AWD workflow which is in A4 format. (assume you named this file awd.pdf)

2. Click on the “Left” button which will rotate every page in the counterclockwise direction.

3. You then need to save this file by clicking on “finish” and then “download” (download PDF). This should create a file called awd-rotated.pdf (-rotated appended to your actual file name)

4. Now click on the multi-colored grid home button in the far upper left corner.

5. Scroll down to “more tools” and select “crop”

6. Now from “select files” open the file you just saved, awd-rotated.pdf

7. The crop tool will already be selected. Make sure “Apply selection to all pages” is on (it seems to be on by default.). Crop around the box of the label. Click on the check mark to finish the crop.

8. Click “finish” and then download pdf. This time the file will be called awd-rotated-cropped.pdf

9. The file awd-rotated-cropped.pdf should be useable with a 4” x 6” label printer

There may be a simpler way to do this. I have no real expertise. You do not get an infinite number of trials with this tool before it asks you to upgrade to a paid version, but it only locks you out of free use for 12 hours. (This seems like a very reasonable policy since they are basically saying, if you use it a lot, pay for it, otherwise it is free). The procedure outlined above should be free for at least one time through. Good luck!
