Need Help: Items in Research for 2 Months with No Resolution
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue or has advice.
For about two months, I’ve had multiple items in "research" status. I opened a case three weeks ago to address this, but I haven’t received a meaningful response yet. The only updates I’ve received are generic messages like:
"Thanks for your continued patience. We are currently researching your issue in partnership with the responsible team. We'll provide an update as soon as any additional information is available."
While the number of items in research has decreased, none have been reimbursed or returned to inventory. This delay is frustrating, as I rely on accurate inventory management for my business.
Does anyone know how long these cases typically take to resolve? Or, is there a more direct way to contact Amazon to get real answers? I’ve already submitted multiple follow-ups within the case but haven't gotten anything other than the standard replies.
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance,

Hi @Seller_APH9iQwFIdnGk, what are the ASINs under research? I would be happy to take a look for you. Feel free to share the case ID opened with Seller Support. Unfortunately, there may not be a way to expedite the research process, but I may be able to determine why they are in research status.

Hello@Seller_APH9iQwFIdnGk, Amazon does not automatically reimburse the units if they eventually become missing. You must keep these items under your radar. It isn't easy to find when Amazon started its research; thus, you need to file a case asking the SPS about the date and when it will end. It is so important to know the dates for prompt case filing. Previously, the research duration was 30 days, and currently, it is 60 days without prior notice. I mean, I don't see any update to 60 days posted in the Changes to Program Policies.
Check the Adjustment Report after 60 days to see if they've been added back to your inventory or unreconciled. If unreconciled, you only have a 60-day window, if I am not mistaken, to file a case before forfeiture. The SPS will take more days to resolve. Constantly follow up every two days.
I hope this helps.
