Unjustified ODR due to USPS/FEDEX - going to lose my home!

My ODR has unjustifiably risen through no fault of my own. USPS/FEDEX smartpost has lost 6 of my shipments causing my ODR to rise to 1.35%. Here is the claim I made which i got no response.

Due to the complexity and business impact (Also I am likely going to lose my home) of the issue, I respectfully request that my case be escalated to a US-Based Account Health specialist for review and resolution.

My ODR has risen above 1 percent through no fault of my own. This has caused me to lose buybox eligblity and has decimated my sales.

The orders below are the ones I am disputing. All orders had shipping purchased through Amazon and were shipped timely. The United States Post office then lost the orders through some system glitch that has affected many sellers. The customers have been refunded and I should not still be punished for the actions of USPS.

Hello @Seller_Z7YaLrFUMSqkb. I am following up on your questions about your recent shipments.

FedEx Ground Economy (SmartPost) shipments must be dropped off with FedEx and not USPS. If FedEx Ground Economy packages do not go through the correct carrier channels, it can lead to issues with shipments not being delivered.

I reviewed the orders and claims. Several of them were decided as Amazon-funded. I asked our partner team to review the remaining claims and determine if there is a path for you to dispute the earlier decisions.

You claim the USPS lost all EIGHT orders? ALL EIGHT? These must be another reason or cause.

You may have dropped off the packages with the wrong Carrier, based on the postage/services you purchased.

To right away upfront blame the USPS is erroniuos , disrespectful, and unknowing. Especially for (8) orders all at once?

Let me rebuttle this, and provide my experience.

I was a Rural Carrier (Mailman) for 28 years, and I experienced a grand total of ONE package lost that I was made aware of.

I've been on the other selling website (eB*y) since 1998 and have had ZERO sent packages, or to-be-received packages, lost using the USPS. (Only ONE with a different Carrier).

Selling here on Amazon Marketplace since 2004, ZERO problems with the USPS, ZERO problems with UPS, ZERO problems with Fed Ex. Either sending, or receiving.

I see just now that an Amazon Rep has responded, again stating to be sure you are using the correct Carrier based on postage purchase. I am quite confident you will find this is part of the problem, and am sure you will respond again when you do find the exact reason...

If you in fact can lose your home over your Amazon ODR then that's a major problem. I learned along time ago to not count on one venue when ebay changed their search algorithm and my ebay sales went from 100k a month to 15k. Started my own website, dropped ebay and never looked back. The proverbial"Don't put all your eggs in one basket" rings true.

I had the same issue with 1 package and have never shipped with FedEx Ground Economy again. It was the same scan error with the USPS "Alert Unpaid postage, item will not be delivered".

In my example I dropped off the package at a FedEx location and then USPS refused to deliver the package. I reached out to the local post master and she said that she had never seen a scan like that before and told me to contact FedEx.

I contact FedEx and communicated with the rep. from their trace department and she told me that "it wasn't dropped off at a FedEx location" then I provided her the tracking details showing it had been scanned at a FedEx location. The FedEx rep. then in the following email she said that it was on its way and to wait. I responded back stated it has been with USPS for over a month. The FedEx rep. then responded back stating the same "it wasn't dropped off at a FedEx location". Then I responded back with the same "It was dropped off at a FedEx location. Here is the tracking results showing a FedEx scan." Then the rep. she once again responded back the package is on its way and to wait. I went back in forth several times where the FedEx would claim it wasn't dropped off at at FedEx location even though the first scan and several scans after that were FedEx scans.

It seems to be an issue with FedEx who charges one price when you purchase the postage then later on changes the price and takes more money from the overall postage price and then stiffs USPS. instead of doing the right thing USPS just ends up throwing away packages. USPS really should be delivering these packages if they take possession or just stop accepting them from FedEx if FedEx is going to pull this move. In the end it's the sender or business that gets screwed from the carrier dispute as the customer can just open up a claim. I would imagine that FedEx will be loosing its contract with USPS just like USPS terminated the contract with UPS over UPS Surepost which is now UPS Ground Economy and you'll notice there is no longer a USPS tracking number on the label.

I have contacted Amazon several times to request stop offering this as a service but you know how it is when talking to the big robot wall that you never speak with anyone who has any power to make changes. Amazon setup this system this way on purpose.

post. The same thing happened to me 3 times with FedEx/USPS. Shipped on time, tracking stopped after FedEx turned the package over to USPS. After filing several claims with eBay the Post Office and FedEx which were all denied, I finally received an email, after persisting, and the email from the postmaster in Georgia said that USPS had not been paid so they took my packages and "put them in a storage unit and they will not be retrieved."

Same thing has happened to me. Fed-Ex lost the packages and I shipped everything on time.
