Major Drop in Traffic/Views. Hoping for Traffic Stat Comparison from other Seasoned Sellers? (April 2023)
Hoping some other seasoned sellers could possibly chime in on some data here. Our traffic took a massive nosedive on April 2023. It was/is so significant, that we're convinced it was due to some major unannounced Amazon changes. As can be seen in the graph, traffic than continues to sink. Having been here for many years, everything about this seems very very unnatural as in due to economic reasons, seasons, or competition. We are FBM. Was wanting to see if any seasoned sellers would be willing to check their own stats aroind these dates to see if there is any correlation? Thank you!

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I know you specifically asked for other Sellers to chime in, but I have some suggestions in some reports to look at/review to help give you a fuller picture of what might be going on.
I do see the drop in YoY Sessions as well as other metrics while a slight increase in (.8%) in session % meaning although there are less sessions, those sessions are converting to orders a bit more (comparing 4/23 with 4/24).
There are several other factors that if we were having a discussion/deep dive on I would want to review with you such as:
- Advertising spend comparison
- By ASIN comparison analysis to determine if this is holistic catalog or a few "problem," ASINs.
- A+ content publish date, Brand Story publish date
- Images
- Brand Analytics (several reports including: search performance, top search terms and customer loyalty) to try and identify trends
Hopefully this along with other seller assistance can help you either identify the root case or assist with some future strategies.

I am 100% certain that data manipulation is taking place. Our sales have declined by more than 50% since the start of the year.

Sales and sessions are dropping. I get some nasty emails from customers and comments of NCX about Amazon. They don't ship to their location for no legal reason is a big one. They get used items FBA should not have recycled. They get knock off products after being switched out by buyers, again FBA resent these to customers. A lot of people have dropped Amazon because of these issues and the sales are going to show this.
Us, as sellers, have little we can do about it as we have our own battles to fight to keep our heads above water.

is your FOE ( featured offer eligibility) turned to no?
When looking at your listings under inventory, look for a column labeled FOE. If set to no, that means you are no longer eligible for the buy box. Happens to FBM sellers.

I noticed the same thing on my account too, sessions started dropping in July 22. I've never seen it drop like that before and continued unabated until Feb of this year, as it started slowly rising; but I attribute that rise to my determined effort to increase my inventory.
Previously, sessions seemed to be linked and correlate to average offer count, but that link seem to disconnect in July 22.
Don't know why...I didn't change anything.
