Listing taken down with no explanation, inventory vanished.
One of the listing I was selling on disappeared without any warnings. Usually they would send an email stating the listing has been taken down due to some type of violation. This time I received no email or any communication. It just vanished from my inventory list along with all the inventory in FBA.
Has this happened to someone before?

Never.
Even if the listing vanishes the FBA inventory stays for some time before it is either destroyed or returned.
I suspect something really wrong with the Product Detail Page. Any hints you can give on that?

Yes, I have had this happen, it is very rare not to get the Email though. Check your messages on SC and look at Spam on your Email. I have had them go there before! Also look at your Account Health page, there will be a Violation there explaining why the product was taken down. If you don't have anything in Account Health, or Messages, it could be a temporary glitch. Maybe once in 10 years my Inventory has glitched out for almost a full day. There was nothing actually wrong, just the server wasn't displaying the data (check for AWS outages). If you can't browse the ASIN, there will usually be many products with issues. I've had that happen as during a "brown out" where it got so bad I just left my desk and came back the next day!
Usually after 72 hours the inventory will show up as stranded. At that point you can recall it, but usually cannot Liquidate it. In extreme situations such as IP complaints or counterfeit claims, they might seize the inventory and you can't get it back. But that is very rare situation. The more aggressive action Amazon is taking, the more communications and flags all over your account you will find. Hazmat ingredients discovered, FDA recalls, or anything in that area Amazon shoots first and asks questions later. Sometimes the Legal department just kills products and then it takes several days before anything goes out about it.
What type of product is this, is it a major brand, private label, were there lots of other sellers, etc?

I just had a bunch of items taken down and wouldn't have even known it had I not checked my inactive inventrory listings.
The violation? Amazon decided that "(Discontinued by Manufacturer)" is no longer allowed in the title. I never put it there, and it seems that I'm unable to remove it.

amazon intentionally deactivates listings so we have to dump more money into ppc to rerank it. its a scam. theyve always done it but its gotten insanely bad lately. everytime i lower my ad spend my product is magically non compliant after years. its not a coincidence.

Hello @Seller_57YnZnUTp8VfB- thank you for sharing. If a listing is taken down for any issues with the product, be it restricted, not have proper approvals, or various other issues, a notification should be provided via the 'Performance Notifications' section of your Seller Central. Can you help confirm if you've been sent any Performance Notifications of this kind in recent months?
I'll also share this video on addressing inactive or suppressed listings as you look towards next steps as well!
Thanks,
Danny

We've had many like this VANISH, it shows in inventory as active, you click on it you see the item listed, but if you copy ASIN and put it search it does not exist!!!
