Glass Straw Misclassified as Smoking Accessory — Account Suspended
Hello Amazon Team and fellow sellers,
I am writing here out of desperation and confusion. Recently, my seller account was suspended because one of my products — a simple glass drinking straw — was flagged by Amazon as a smoking accessory. This classification is completely inaccurate.
📌 My product is just a regular glass straw designed for use with beverages. It is clear, cylindrical, and sold as part of a drinkware accessory set.

This decision has caused my entire account to be suspended, despite the product not violating any policies. I rely on this business as my sole source of income, and now I’m unable to support myself. I have submitted appeals and supporting documentation, but so far, nothing has been resolved.

Trying to be positive:
I think to stand any chance to get your account back you have to admit wrong doing. Maybe try briefly telling them that after researching the issue, you see the resemblance to drug paraphernalia but since you are not experienced with drugs you did not realize that.
Send them invoices and a catalog page where your wholesaler identified it as a drinking straw.
Then promise never to sell it again.

You can lie and call a meth pipe a glass straw to avoid having your product taken down by the algorithm, but everyone knows what a meth pipe is. Take your ill-gotten gains and invest in something else. Selling meth pipes is bad karma.

It's my understanding that these "crack heads" are on a pretty tight schedule and can't wait 5-7 days for a prime package. Obviously it's for everyday, innocent, non habit forming, tea beverages.

I watch a lot of On Patrol Live and Cops, and That my friend is an elongated Meth Pipe. There is NO WAY that you truly and honestly thought that was a "drinking" straw. This is like on last nights OPLive (they have their own amazon store now btw.. LOL), where the kid was being arrested after running from the cops, his pants fall down in the process and a LARGE Pew Pew falls out of them, and then he starts yelling "thats not mine dude!"... You were caught with your hand in the proverbial meth jar and honestly think that you can convince someone somewhere that thats ONLY a drinking straw? Best Laugh I've had all week. I sent screen shots to my brother of your "straw"... he said "why is Amazon selling meth pipes?" Good Luck getting someone who's never seen drug paraphernalia on your case. You are PERMANENTLY Deactivated... not temporarily while they work to find a solution... Plus they know you lied about what it was.
