CPC Clicks vs. Viewable Impression?

I'm running a CPC ad campaign, and I'm getting clicks but not viewable impressions. Shouldn't a click automatically generate a viewable impression? How can a user click my campaign ad and NOT end up viewing my product ad? Am I misunderstanding what a viewable impression is?

Howdy @Seller_P6aYpFaKcS8Mi- this is a great question!

Here are the metric definitions from Amazon ads, which does detail clicks and viewable impressions. In essence, clicks are actual clicks on an advertisement but an image is counted as viewable when at least 50% is visible for at least 1 second. A video is counted as viewable when at least 50% is visible while playing for at least 2 seconds. This is the Media Rating Council's (MRC) definition of viewability. These metrics are set up this way to help advertisers not pay for invalid traffic.

Let me know if I can help answer any other questions after you take a look through the above, and thanks again for stopping by!
