customer says package delivered to wrong address - who's responsible?

Order Item ID: 117090948777721

Shows it was delivered 12/18 to Deerfield, Florida. But customer lives in Pompano Beach, Fl.

She wrote me that it was mis-delivered. Who's responsible for correcting this? I told customer to contact the PO. Is there a way to file a missing package?

Ultimately, you are responsible. So, you should be contacting the PO and refunding her money.

If you purchased your shipping through Amazon and shipped it on time Amazon should fund this item not received request.

Let the let the buyer know you will be working with the US Postal Inspector to find her package.

Go to the USPS site in the upper right hand corner click on help and inquire about a missing package. This usually gets a quick response from the local post office who will find and redeliver your package.

You are. Too many sellers think their job is done when they hand the package off to a delivery service. And 99% of the time, we don't need to do anyhing else.

But we sellers are responsible for getting the package to the customer. UPS is just a delivery service that you chose to hire. They are your employees. And when your employees screw up, you have to step in and fix their mistakes.

The easiest way to scold your employees is to tell them to redeliver the package. USPS has a page for that. ( Amazon will remove a direct link if I try to give you one, but you can Google it easily )

By the way if the post office is not able to locate your package it's probably got up to $100 insurance for the loss and if they can't show it delivered to the correct address you can file for reimbursement from them.

Also it's always a good idea to ask the customer to confirm the shipping address on their order is correct.
