Is there a way seller can require FBA to ship products with package?

Hi,

It happened to some of our customers that they receive our products without package, the shipping label was just simply tap on the products itself for shipping and there were gifts for family members, I received couple of compiants from buyers, I understand that buyer can request shipping in amazon package during checout, however, as a seller, is there a way I can request FBA to ship all of my products with package?

You are required to package your items however you want them delivered to customers. While they are supposed to be boxed, as you have noticed they don't always do. I once got a plastic bag of dried fish with a label slapped on it.

FBA does whatever they want, You're paying for that service as a gamble. Sometimes they do what they're supposed to, sometimes they don't. Don't ever expect Amazon to have your best interest at heart. They never will.

You're going to have to do their job for them and package them the way you'd like them shipped just in case. Might as well just FBM. No lost merchandise. No returns 5 months later. No storage fees. No waiting. No delay

You can request NOT to ship in original carton (SIOC). We go a step further and place a label stating as much right next to the FNSKU.

Good morning @Seller_lHpcpodl8aCU2,

As a few other sellers mentioned, the best way to ensure the item arrives to customers in the packaging you want is to send it into the FBA network already in that packaging. This gives you more control over the packaging and protection over your inventory. You can check out this thread on packaging and prep best practices for more info. Let me know if you have any other thoughts or questions!

You are responsible for all packaging. You cannot dictate to Amazon how to package your product.

you would have to individually box them. That way Amazon just grabs your box. They may put a label on it or they may put it in a larger box.

This used to happen to us. You'll need to make it so Amazon has difficulty removing packaging or do what we did and change packaging altogether.

Do you mean require that they put a box or package around your item so that your packaging is not damaged?

Also, what is the return process for these products?

They are likely unstockable with a shipping label on the original packaging and will likely require FBA prep, which I am sure will be billed out.

I also want to opt out.

No, this is not an option.

You must prepare the products in such a way that they can withstand shocks, the 3 ft drop test.
