Package is delayed but customer was refunded by amazon

I shipped an item, and it was delayed due to weather issues in the south, the customer received a refund. Amazon issued it and took it from my account. The package was delivered later. I sent a message to the buyer and asked them to write "return to sender" but they don't respond. Is there anyway to get this back or have the buyer pay for it?

I did not use Amazon buy shipping on this order.

Thank you

Amazon's policy is now that they will message buyers in such instances asking if it is ok to recharge them since the item did get delivered. If the buyer responds and says it is ok, you should get reimbursed. If not, you're out of luck.

Hello @Seller_yy7BAzfSE4tSE- thanks for posting! I can confirm that in such situations Amazon will look to contact the customer on your behalf to help coordinate. Should the customer not respond to Amazon's or your messages confirming they are willing to be retrocharged, Amazon is unable to charge them again.

While it may not be helpful for this scenario, you may wish to review the protections offered through Buy Shipping to help avoid such situations in the future!
