Book listing date
How do I find the date that I listed a book on Amazon. I am a seller. My books are shelved by listing date, and the manage inventory page has changed so I can no longer see hit info. Thanks

"How do I find the date that I listed a book on Amazon. "
I have every message that Amazon has sent me saved in my email account. I do a search for the ASIN and sort the messages by date. The OLDEST is invariably from when I initially listed the item.
If you are NOT saving your messages from Amazon you should probably start because you never know when something they send you will later be CHANGED and they will hold you responsible. They will claim "that never was stated" and if you didn't save a message you will have no proof.
I actually had one of the staff at jeff(at)amazon flat out LIE to me about something and I had to send in the copy of the emails to prove that he did. Hopefully that guy got fired!

I'm back on the old version for now, and not switching back voluntarily, but when I was trying to use it, I found that the drop-down for "Sort By" has a lot of options that are ABOVE the default, including the ability to sort by Created Date. I don't recall if the actual date shows or not, but it's at least a start. And I think there is a "Preferences" tab that may allow you to see other fields not displayed by default.
Going forward, I would suggest basing your shelving order on something else. I use sequential SKUs, so as long as I get the SKU for the order, I can find the right shelf quickly. You could even use a SKU such as mm-dd-yy-###, changing the last number for each book you list that day.
Good luck getting it straightened out. If you learn anything, let us know. It's going to be an uphill battle for all of us, all because Amazon wants to "fix" something that is working perfectly fine.

Go to "Inventory Reports."
You can download a full list of your inventory as a spreadsheet. This is incredibly helpful to me.
There are various options . . . open listings, active inventory, inactive inventory.
I use MS Excel to view it but you can find other programs to view it.

On the NEW inventory page (it's okay to go voluntarily, everything will be alright), go to Preferences (it's on the far right in the tabs just above your listings).
When you click on that you will see a series of columns with click-boxes to modify your view. The last column is "Listing Status", which includes an option of "Date Created". Click that.
Your inventory view will now include the date listed for each item. I organize my books the same way and had an initial heart sinking moment. This fix took about 15 seconds once I realized it was an option. My understanding is that if you choose to revert to the old page, you only have a week before the new page is forced on you.
Onward and Upward!

Seems that there could be a space in listing for inventory location. It is technology they have at Discogs.
