Amazon says no more Light Emitting Diode (LED) headlamp conversion kits?
I have been selling on Amazon for 5 years and always in the LED Headlight Conversations Kits.
But I just received and email saying
Starting October 31 we will restrict the sales of these products in the Amazon US Store. LED headlamp conversion kits do not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. Our policy prohibits the listing or sale of products that do not comply with all applicable laws. These products can no longer be sold or distributed by sellers in the US store.
It gives no details about what to do. I am at a total loss as I am having a lot units coming in next week and was going to send to Amazon FBA for holiday sales.

LED bulbs are legal in the USA for Fog Light use only. Not compliant with DOT / FMVSS108 and not street legal in the USA for Headlights.

Hi, I did ask the Amazon people but the answer they gave was that they did not receive the information.

Interesting thing is Amazon also sell LED headlight bulbs, here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-Headlight-Brighter-Replacement-Conversion/dp/B08P31HB8F
So I am wondering whether will Amazon will stop selling as well at the end of the October?

It was last week Monday 16th that I got that email from Amazon and answered them back. While I was waiting, I changed my listings so they were on the Headlight Bulbs category and edited the Product Title and Description. Now 11 days later after I sent the first message, I get this answer, which basically just repeats what they said on the first notifications message:
"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
ASINs:(removed) This product is identified as LED headlamp conversion kits which do not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards (FMVSS No. 108). Amazon policy prohibits the listing or sale of products that do not comply with all applicable laws. Therefore, these products are not permitted to be sold or distributed by selling partners in the US store. For additional information about motor vehicle regulations, please visit our help page: Thank you for selling with Amazon,Preethi M."
So I sent them the following reply back to make it clear they are LED Headlight Bulbs and not conversion kits and pictures of my listing page:
"Hello,This is not true. These products are LED Headlight Bulbs. THEY ARE NOT LED HEADLAMP CONVERSION KITS! I have only been selling LED Headlight bulbs on Amazon since 2019, never conversion kits.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYPZGNWS/
I have them in the correct browser node category: Automotive, Lights & Lighting Accessories, Bulbs, Headlight Bulbs And the product Title and Description states they are LED Headlight Bulbs only. This needs to be corrected on your end, as I have over 30 sets of the LED Headlight Bulbs with Amazon FBA Labels and Transparency Labels on them that are being sent to the Amazon warehouse for sale with FBA." So now I have to wait again and see what reply I get. If they refuse to allow me to sell those ASIN Product Listings (if they black listed those), then the only other thing I could try would be to make Brand New product listings and again making sure it says LED Headlight Bulb, but in doing so it would be a new page and would lose the 200+ reviews. Selling on Amazon has become more of a pain each year.

It's now Nov 1 and all my listings are still active. And it looks like every other seller of LED headlight bulbs are still active. So who knows what's going to happen or when. Will Amazon deactivate our listings or may send an email saying we have to close the listing. It's nice to leave sellers in the dark.
