Error 5461 - Help

I got the following error from Amazon

"

We understand that you are getting listing error 5461 while adding a product.

I appreciate your patience throughout the investigation and I'll assist you in this regard.

You are not UPC exempted. Also, as per our system of records the UPC owner and Brand do not relate."

We are trying to list a product under our own brand. We have a pending brand registry application as we have a valid trademark.

UPC is registered under a different company in a another country, which is also owned by us. How to resolve?

Any UPC you use on Amazon MUST be registered to the brand the listing is for.

That error means do not waste your time and list item on a different platform you will not get anywhere with help by seller support on that code.

You see that code you will be better off selling on a seller friendly platform you will get noting but copy and paste responses how much this means to you blah blah blah but unfortunately some lame excuse why seller support can never fix or solve any issue!

Just a little bit of context surrounding why Error 5461 occurs:

If you receive this error, it is because you are attempting to create a new ASIN for a brand for which you are not pre-approved to create new ASINs.

Creation of new ASINs may be restricted to brand owners and their affiliates, retail and pre-approved sellers if we have verified that brands have listed their complete catalog on Amazon.

This restriction helps accurately to represent a brand’s entire catalog on Amazon, protecting brands from possible misuse of trademarks and listing policy violations, and providing customers with a trusted buying experience. This does not impact your ability to list an offer on existing ASINs.

Since this error code is associated to creating an ASIN, I am linking the ASIN Creation Policy help page. If you believe the product you want to sell is not currently in the Amazon catalog and should be added as a new ASIN, you can click here and Select Add Products from the Catalog drop-down.
