Printing format USPS Ground Advantage

I am a small FBM seller. The format for the USPS Ground Advantage label for small packages under 16 oz does not work like the First Class when printed. In other words it is printing the labels vertical instead of horizontal. I need the labels to fit horizontal on the left side of the page, like the First Class label format. Has anyone figured out a fix for this? It has been incorrect since the launch of Ground Advantage and I'm concerned about the upcoming holiday season. Thank you

Have you tried changing the print settings from portrait to landscape?

FWIW, we just print as the label is generated and fold to fit into a half sheet pouch which is applied to the shipping box.

USPS Ground Advantage Label Printout Format Different

Our partner teams are still working to correct the issues with label configuration, as well as sellers who purchase USPS Ground Advantage shipping through Buy Shipping not able to purchase additional insurance beyond the included $100, or purchase signature confirmation services.

I followed up with the teams today but do not yet have an update about expected fix dates.

In the meantime, if you would like to use these services or avoid label issues, please revert back to using First Class and Parcel Select while we resolve the issues with Ground Advantage.

I don't know about others, but I have NO option when printing these. You view the bulk shipping page, you hit "buy shipping" and it prints. There IS NO other printing option.

Please correct this. I have brought up that Priority Cubic has the same issue. NOTHING!! I have amdin comment on the forum, but no one EVER has done anything about it. it wastes so much paper (and time), and in the case of the Cubic, the 1/2 page is right at the bar code, so you can't even just try to piece it together on the pacakge. I am sure any imperfection in the barcode will render it useless.

Good luck getting anywhere with this.

Hello, Sellers: we have updates on USPS Ground Advantage label configuration and printing, buying labels through ShipStation, and other related issues.

  1. Issues affecting Signature Confirmation and additional insurance have been fixed. Sellers purchasing these options will see the correct charges in Buy Shipping.
  2. Our tech team is fixing the problem affecting Ground Advantage label configuration and printing. I will continue to reach out to that team, and to provide updates here as I receive them.
  3. Our team is also working closely with ShipStation to ensure Ground Advantage is available through Buy Shipping on Shipstation. I will also provide updates here as I receive them.
  4. In the meantime, USPS has approved an extension on the grace period for purchasing USPS legacy services, including First Class and Parcel Select. The grace period now extends through October 31. We are expecting the above issues to be reconciled quickly, but the extended grace period will help ensure a good experience for our Selling Partners.

Please let me know if you experience any difficulty from your local USPS office regarding this extended grace period, such as First Class packages not being accepted. If so, we will ask our USPS partners to make sure the update has been shared with that location.

And as always: thank you for your feedback and updates, and please continue to share any Ground Advantage issues and questions.

The team fixed the label orientation issue and have begun rolling the update out across all sellers and shipments.

If you have experienced this issue, we would appreciate it if you'd take a look and let us know if you see any changes. This is a high-volume fix that will take a few days to fully implement, so please also let us know if you are not seeing any corrections by Monday so we can follow up with our partner team.
