My sales dropped dramatically.
My monthly sales, which were very good in the handmade category, suddenly dropped to almost zero in May. My featured offers are 100. My campaigns are active. I update search terms regularly. But I cannot find the reason for this meaningless decline. Has there been a change in Amazon algorithms? Are there any other sellers experiencing the same issue? Frankly, I don't know how I can reach an Amazon representative who can help me solve this problem.

It's not random or without cause.
Have you been able to evaluate any known factors? Price increases? New competitors? PPC campaigns dropping out of bid range? Seasonal slump? Pre-Prime Day slump?
Have you had issues with your account or products? Health flags? Certifications expiring? Low feedback? No reviews? Merged ASINs? Technical problems?
Have you or anyone working for you been doing anything that might raise account or product flags? Sometimes innocent actions such as updating a bank account or logging in from multiple IPs over a short period of time can trigger Amazon's shaky seller tech.
How can you demand that an Amazon rep solve the problem if you don't know the cause?
You mentioned "Amazon algorithms." Even if that is the reason, do you think that they would admit it, much less revert it back to help a single seller?
What if it's something like new competitors or seasonal factors or a lack of reviews or people don't like the color of your handmade goods? What are they supposed to say or do?
Reps have a hard enough time addressing issues with known causes. You're coming to them with a vague complaint that no one is buying your inventory, with unknown causes at play. That's not enough for them to go on.

An Amazon representative won't assist you with this. Sales have dropped for most sellers, and I believe one of the main reasons is that the economy isn't doing well this year. I've also noticed that your products are unique and quite expensive. However, your listing reviews are not performing well. You have 16 pages of items, and I don't know how you manage that many products, especially in terms of advertising. Additionally, your products are not Prime and are shipped from another country. You need to find out the reasons; these are just a couple of the things that caught my attention.

I sell in beauty, and my sales used to be 40k per month. now I'm at 25k if I'm lucky. it is the algorithm. there IS something up. but amz rep won't be able to tell you anything. it would have to be the ppl on the algorithm side

Offer better services, do same-day shipping, this has helped me a lot
Treat FBM like PRIME and this can't hurt at all, ONLY help.
Inflation is here for the remaining time of Biden president, offer better and faster service also do FBA even if is cost more.

Must mean mine are about to boost at last. They have moved the sprinkler.

It's also right before a holiday - known and expected glitches in some sectors.
It's hilarious that someone would say it's due to inflation or POTUS - the very people who have raised their prices, I'm guessing. We have kept our prices the same for as long as we can.

The algorithm seems to favor certain settings. I was very slow for a most of may due to ODR% affecting my account health. However, once one of the negative remarks came off, the warning flag went away. Sales were slow for another week then jumped remarkably the past 4 days. I've also been listing heavily (which i think is one of the black box factors that gives you boosts here and there - i know it is on other e commerce sites), changed to free returns and any sales i did get during the slow period i shipped within hours, or next day if it was after Close of Business for USPS, UPS etc. Just keep listing as much as you can and fulfilling orders as quickly as you can. Even if you have to list items to sell at cost (after fees and shipping), its worth it to boost your account metrics.

Amazon is tinkering w/ their algo.... My sales went from $800+/day to ~$200.... However starting to recover. This happened over the past week.
It happens sometimes, and your only mechanism for fixing is to tinker back on PPC.... Eventually you make the algo happy and will recover.
Also check your ranking against your competitors to confirm their sales have/haven't declined. If their sales have also declined then not much you can do.
