Does going in vacation mode open the door to problems/scammers?
I've noticed a pattern over the last few years that I always get major problems when I put my store in vacation mode and never when I'm not in vacation mode. For example I'll get false IP violations, get my listing's brand fraudulently changed by other sellers, etc.
Does going in vacation mode open the door to problems/scammers because it doesn't seem to be a coincidence at this point?
Thank you

I understand your concerns about putting your seller account on vacation mode. There are a few important things to be aware of:
While in vacation mode, your listings may become less prominent or even hidden from customers, which could lead to lost sales opportunities. Scammers may also try to take advantage of an inactive seller account to hijack your listings or impersonate you, leading to unauthorized changes, counterfeit products being sold, or other issues.
Additionally, if you have any active promotions or ads running, those may continue to accrue charges even while your account is in vacation mode. Customers could also leave negative reviews or open disputes during this time, which could impact your seller metrics.
It's essential that you always monitor your seller account closely, even when in vacation mode. If you notice any particular issue that may harm your store, your reputation, or Amazon itself, I strongly encourage you to report it right away using the Amazon Customer Service Page > Report Something Suspicious.
Staying vigilant and taking fast action can help protect your business and prevent further problems.

I wish you all the best,

I've had problems show up when I go off vacation mode also. It seems when the items go back to active, they get re-evaluated as if they were a brand new listing. There are a lot of listings that are requiring approval before you can list. But then they want a receipt from the original manufacturer. That's insane when you sell preowned items. It's basically letting manufacturers stop preowned items from being sold so they can make more money. Doesn't seem to effect already listed items. But after coming off vacation mode those won't come back active and will show suspended.
