85% ODTR.. but I ship TWO days early, new ODR Guidelines are impossible?
Since the prior news of Amazon forcing sellers with a "handling gap" to fix it to 2 days or less (or lose the ability to set your own handling time) I had made changes to accommodate this.
I set my handle times to 3 days and always shipped a day BEFORE the last possible ship day using AMAZON SHIPPING with ODTR protection confirmed.
Now upon seeing my last metrics I have a 1.9 day handling gap, great, but now magically (and impossibly) I have an 85% ODTR rate.......................... That is not possible in any way.
It is impossible that I followed the guidelines perfectly and still have an 85% ODTR.. It was nearly 100% prior to improving my handling time.
What the hell is going on? 90% is the new metric and I guarantee I am 100% ODTR. There is literally no possible way I can have less than 100%. Everything is shipped BEFORE the deadline and shipped using ODTR protected services. If the carrier is late, ITS NOT MY FAULT! It LITERALLY is not my fault because it was all ODTR PROTECTED. Even so, it is NOT the sellers fault if a carrier is late, Amazon itself delays delivery dates ALL the time.
Any explanation for this? I know Amazon wants to put FBM out of business, but this is just straight up lies and corruption on these very simple numbers.
If I am doing everything right, how am I supposed to navigate this corrupt system?

To have the ODTR protection, you have to have AHT and SSA active as well as use buy shipping from Amazon.

Hello @Seller_72yKc2oq4VVrH. Thank you for that question about On Time Delivery Rate updates.
Frequently asked questions about on-time delivery rate (OTDR)
If you use Automated Handling Time and Shipping Settings Automation (both available for Professional selling plans) in addition to purchasing shipping with an "OTDR Protected" badge, your OTDR will not be negatively impacted by late deliveries.
Please note that our team will be having an "Ask Amazon" event about OTDR policy updates next Tuesday. Community Managers and the OTDR team will answer any questions posted in this thread:

It took us 2 months to get to 1.9 day latency - even though we ship everything 1 day early. IMO they are purposefully doing this to accounts to push people back into their failed FC system.

Terrible implementation, Amazon! This is literally shifting the carriers' responsibility onto the sellers!

Watch out for the delivery TIME issue also. even if the order is delivered on the right date, if it is 1 second past the arbitrary TIME - BAM! it's late.
I have changed absolutely nothing about my behavior since these policies were announced because I cannot sleep well knowing I am screwing customers to placate a large, mindless bureaucracy. My customers deserve better.
I am watching my OTDR slowing decline, mostly due to this TIME issue. Currently am shipping 1.4 days early and delivering 3.7 days early - so delivering 5.1 days early.
OTDR declined since the middle of Sept from 100% now at 98.7% and number of "late" deliveries increasing daily.
I figure I have another maybe 6 weeks to get my Etsy shop up to speed.

Hello @Seller_kWzASERYhgus6 Orders can be delivered at any time on the Delivery By date to be counted as on time.
This is based on the Pacific Time Zone (PDT)
For example: if an order had a "Promised delivery date without a promise extension" of September 26, it can be delivered at any time on that date. Here is how that is displayed on the OTDR report.

Just use Veeqo, and automate the shipping. I used shipstation before and bit the bullet. Honestly Veeqo has cheaper shipping prices so you will save money and gives you OTDR protection. Dont fight the machine... you will lose.

Since it fell below 90%, is your account suspended or is seller fulfilled offers suspended at all? I am hoping a warning is given and coaching is offered.
