We've been selling unique imported tools, made of steel, from Europe for 10 years quite successfully. They are seasonal agricutural products. The almost zero-warning 25% steel tariff plus 10% reciprocal tariff mean we are closing shop this year....no more orders, no more sales on Amazon.com for a steady business year in and year out. Add in Amazon's disreputable low inventory fees and now reduced reimbursement amounts, the profit margins are not cause to stay in this business.
Amazon, what are you doing to lobby with our federal administration? While US manufacturing MAY eventually increase it won't be tomorrow. It won't bring quality products customers want.
We are talking to our supplier in Europe but why should they help rather than focus on their other worldwide markets. Our senior government official seems to listen only to his oligarchy of friends. Small businesses are not understood or cared about in the new order of things evolving. Business planning cannot be done as the policies are so erratic and who knows what many tomorrows will bring?
Just another but real life episode of The Apprentice? Not MAGA.
