Supplement Compliance Testing: NSF, Eurofins, UL
We are writing to urgently seek clarification regarding a recent enforcement action that has led to the delisting of several of our dietary supplement products. While we are actively working to comply with Amazon’s requirements, there remains significant uncertainty around the process, timelines, and standards being enforced.
This new procedure has resulted in substantial costs for third-party testing and sales losses due to our products being suppressed.
Specifically, we would like to understand:
- How often compliance documentation must be submitted is this a one-time requirement, or is ongoing verification expected for each product or batch?
- Why similar products from major brands remain unaffected, despite having comparable label formats? This suggests potential inconsistencies in how benchmarks or enforcement policies are being applied across different sellers.

Worry about your account-if other sellers are missing compliance documentation, they will get to them eventually. This is Amazon, there is never any consistency.

Amazon has closed off the ingestables category to new sellers, and now it seems like they are actively reviewing current sellers in that category & weeding out accounts.
I can't answer to how often they would require documentation, but I do know if you don't provide what they ask for, you will not be reinstated.
I would not be concerned with the status of other accounts, you don't know if they've passed the verifications Amazon is asking of you now, or if Amazon just hasn't gotten to them yet. Amazon is an inconsistent platform at best, and you'll drive yourself crazy trying to compare to the millions of other accounts live on the site.

Greetings @Seller_VOrumpx8b8HzM,
At this time on the Dietary supplements help page the policy indicates:
We require you to verify that dietary supplement products meet our policy via third-party testing on an annual basis to ensure products offered in our store meet the following criteria:
- Products are manufactured in a facility compliant with the FDA's Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (cGMPs, 21 CFR 111/117 or equivalent)
- Products do not contain contaminants that may pose a human health or regulatory concern
- Products contain the ingredients claimed on the product label
- Products do not contain undeclared active pharmaceutical ingredients
- Products are labeled according to guidelines set forth by the FDA and do not contain illegal or disease claims
As this information is required annually, that means it is required as ongoing verification on a once a year basis per ASIN.
In general Amazon won't share the details for other major brands, however it is likely they either have provided the information or have not yet been identified as subject to this policy. If you have evidence that a seller is violating Amazon's policies you can report with your evidence using the report a violation form. Thank you for your understanding.
-Glenn
