compact by design for foam sofa

Need Help! Stuck on Compact by Design Certification Submission, Any Advice?

Hey fellow Amazon sellers!

I’m in a tough spot with the Compact by Design certification submission and desperately need your insights.

I sell a foam sofa with vacuum - compressed packaging, which reduces its volume significantly compared to the original. It perfectly fits the “designed for increased efficiency and better packaging” criteria for Compact by Design.

Here’s the issue: Amazon first directed me to download the CPF template to fill in Compact by Design - related info. But the last page of the template says Compact by Design submissions don’t use this template—instead, I should contact support to open a ticket.

However, the support team has no clue how to create a Compact by Design ticket. Plus, after Amazon’s interface update, I can’t find the CPF - related ticket - opening path at all. Now, my certification process is completely stuck. Also, there’s no option on the product page to input “equivalent volume” (key info to prove efficiency).

Has anyone faced a similar problem? Or knows the updated submission process for Compact by Design?

Please share how to:

Find the correct ticket - opening path.

Submit “equivalent volume” or other key info for approval.

Your help would be a lifesaver! Thanks in advance.

(PS: My product is a vacuum - compressed foam sofa, meeting Compact by Design principles but stuck in submission. Any tips are welcome!)

Hello @Seller_WpiMZFzrTbHh4,

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately furniture does not qualify for Compact by Design at this time and is intended more for consumable products, which you can see here. As your product is not something that customers would purchase repeatedly, it doesn't qualify for the Compact by Design program.

I know that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, but I thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

Michelle
