Bots Gone Wild: Suspected IP Edition Vol. 486

I created a product page for a Cardcaptor Sakura cosplay wand only to discover it had previously been pulled due to a suspected IP violation of the brand "Sakura."

A USPTO search shows the brand "Sakura" makes art supplies. No problem, my product in question is a costume accessory and "Cardcaptor Sakura" is also trademarked for its anime, toys, costume merchandise, etc.

This distinction apparently doesn't matter to seller support, who provides me a boilerplate response every time I appeal with the registration documents of both trademarks that tells me the only solution is to remove the term "Sakura."

Even without my evidence, sakura is a common word for a cherry blossom and absurd it can be restricted from use. Both myself and Amazon Retail sell many other Cardcaptor Sakura branded products, so I'm unsure why this listing is being picked-on over the others.

This is basically just to yell into the void, but should a mod see this and want to help me out, that would be pretty neat.

Good Evening @Seller_hDXyye9VvHq85,

Unfortunately the team is not budging on their stance regarding the suspected IP violation despite the several appeal cases I have raised. The only way to continue moving forward would be through the guidance provided to you by support on CASE ID 15300076541. Apologize that this is not the outcome you were hoping for but at least we were able to get some more eyes to review the appeal once more.

It was a pleasure working with you despite the outcome and I hope to see you around again on the forums.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
