"budget" for promotions? What does Amazon charge??

I have searched the internet for the last hour and surprisingly, I cannot find a clear answer to this question! I went to run a promotion (20% off) which used to be free to do (I haven't run promotions in years). Now it asks for a "budget" but gives no information about how much is charged per sale. I cannot find this information anywhere. How am I supposed to set a budget if I have no idea how much will be charged for each successful sale in the promotion? Anyone know?

Hello @Seller_DmxDrFQ1jzDii- appreciate you asking this question here on the forums!

Within your research, you may have located the following help pages addressing the questions:

These pages help illustrate that promotion budgets are set and executed by amount per redemption and number of redemptions. It's important to note that Amazon will take the promotion offline when the total number of redemptions or amount of redemptions reaches 80% of the budget you created, and allocate the remaining 20% to cover possible redemptions from customers who have already applied the promotion.

It will depend on the offer price, budget size, and the size of promotion, but let me know if you run into further questions after looking through the examples in the above pages!

Thanks,

Danny
