Since when is 16 oz not a lb?

I am consistently getting hit with audit fees on returns from customers for items with the reason of a weight discrepancy.

Here's the issue: it's saying that the actual weight was 1 lb and the entered weight was 16 oz (or actual= 2 lb and entered weight was 32). This is the same thing.

The items are in boxes or polymailers, so it's not something like shipping a tire or where a surcharge would be appropriate.

Any tips on getting my money back and/or making this stop??

Hello @Seller_8bwIugpvapit3

Thank you for posting your inquiry to the Forums.

In this instance, I would suggest to open a case with our Support team to troubleshoot this concern on weight discrepancy and the associated fees. If you have already done so, please feel free to update this thread with the case ID number and I can take a look.

Yes there is something off with the returns. I just got charged $1600.99 for a 11x2x10 package which Amazon/USPS says is 110 inches. The shipment to the customer was $3.49 the return charge was $1600.99.

Unfortunately it looks like things are breaking at the seams, and its time for Amazon to go on diet and fix up their bugs.
