Seeking Advice on Refund Request for Partially Consumed Product
Dear Amazon Seller Community,
I am seeking guidance regarding a recent refund request from a customer. Approximately two months ago, the customer purchased a box of drinkable amino acids priced at $168. She consumed 27 out of the 30 packets over this period. She has now returned the product, leaving only 3 packets unused, and is requesting a full refund. The customer reports that I want a full refund because these items were returned because they were defective and did not work at all and made hair/ nails/skin worse. Furthermore, after in good faith trying these items as indicated and noting that they were defective and did not work and made me nauseous and very sick as well and my doctor informed me to stop taking them so I want my full refund for this defective product.
She even gave us specific time frame to issue a full refund which is 12 hours.
Yes! We offer a full refund for defective items; however, it does not extend to cases where the majority of the product has been consumed. A product being unsuitable for personal preference or individual reaction does not necessarily indicate a defect.Given that the majority of the product has been used, I am uncertain about the appropriate course of action. Is it customary or required to issue a full refund in such cases, or would a partial refund be more appropriate? I aim to handle this situation fairly while adhering to Amazon’s policies and maintaining customer satisfaction.I appreciate any insights or experiences you can share regarding similar situations. I strongly believe this is a scammer.
Best regards,
