how to Verify the purchase and that buyer does not want to cancel

A customer ordered a book set. She canceled. Amazon sent a message that she would still like the book. How do I verify that she still wants the book? If so where do I find this information? Do I have to cancel and have her reorder?

If a buyer has sent an "official" cancellation request -- just cancel using that reason. No harm to your metrics there.

If the buyer has changed their mind, they can just order again.

Do not proceed with that original order with the cancel request.

BEFORE you cancel though, send a message of explanation to the buyer (telling them they may order again) and explaining that they are not being charged for this canceled order -- if they see what appears to be a charge, that is just the hold placed by Amazon, and it will drop off after a few days.
