Register my brand

Hello,

I recently got denied my brand registration by stating me things which are not true. Case ID:15786408621

1. provide at least one image of your product or packaging that clearly shows your trademark name and/or trademark design image permanently affixed to the product.

I provided an image with the brand name attached to the design and it wasn't computer generated

2.Your brand is a media brand which is currently ineligible for Brand Registry.

My brand is not a media brand

3.The documents you provided suggest you are not the brand owner but an authorized reseller of the brand's products. Only Brand Owners can apply for Brand Registry.

I provided the trademark certificate, the filing receipt

4.we are unable to approve your application at this time due to the following reason(s):The documents you provided do not have the label permanently affixed to the product or it’s packaging. This is a requirement for Brand Registry.

In the images shown it is clear that the name is permanently affixed to the packaging and they are not computer-generated.

Is the logo on the product picture glued on? The filing application cannot be a stick-on label. Does the product come in a box with the logo on it? It is more convincing to photograph the product with the box or bag!

Hello @Seller_DtrJ6oAHMU3zP

My name is Sandy from the Community Manager team here on forums.

I looked into your application and found that you have attached 3 samples ASINs on your application.

Please visit the Brand Registry Application Guide and see section 3.3.

This is an optional field. If you already sell products under your brand name, you can add the ASINs here. If you already have ASINs under a different brand, do not add them here otherwise the application will be denied.

The 3 ASINs you attached here do not belong under your brand name, and if you currently don't have a brand name under your product now, please do not attach any ASINs here.

Would you please try again leaving this section blank and let me know? Thank you.

Sandy

Send them proof you are the owner of the trademark. Driver license, ownership of the company, etc.

The picture of the product needs to be convincing, such as printed boxes or bags. Products with stickers will not work.

Brand registry is quite simple if your brand already exists in the real world. Everything necessary to have your brand placed on any retail store shelf will already been accomplished before coming to the site.

While Amazon does not come out and say it, they sort of frown on sellers trying to start a brand on the site from scratch. Amazon only offers sellers a platform to sell their brand on. Amazon does not tell you how to create a brand, Amazon expects you have already created a brand to sell on the site. That is the difference, and it is easy for Amazon to tell.

This is how Amazon thinks. When you were in High School and turned in an assignment, the teacher would review the work, and return it saying, “X, Y, and Z are missing, go add that, turn it in again, and it will be correct”.

Now when you are in college and turn in an assignment for review, the instructor returns it and says, “it is not right, do it over”.

Can you see the difference? In High School the student is told what to do. Basically, the student has to use no internal thought process. Now in college, the student is told nothing about how to correct the situation, what may be missing, or what should be omitted. A much high thought process is required to solve the problem. This method Forces deep self-introspection before a second submission is turned in.

1. "I provided the trademark certificate, the filing receipt"

Amazon looked up the number on-line to verify it. When you looked your number up online, what did you see?

2. "In the images shown it is clear that the name is permanently affixed to the packaging and they are not computer-generated."

Pad stamped permanently on the product or placed on with a sticker?

3. "My brand is not a media brand"

What is your branded product? Why would Amazon think it falls in the Media arena?

4. "The documents you provided suggest you are not the brand owner but an authorized reseller of the brand's products. Only Brand Owners can apply for Brand Registry."

What would make Amazon think you are attempting to selling someone else's product and are trying to call it your own?

All retailers sell products in their brand name stores, but do not call the produces sold under a brand name, theirs. It that what you are trying to do?
