Amazon Transparency Questions
We have a massive counterfeiters issue and plan on enrolling in transparency. Would appreciate if someone could clarify:
- Once we enroll a product, what happens with inventory currently in Amazon FCs? Is there an option to have Amazon add the transparency code to those units?
- Since counterfeiters are undercutting us it would be difficult to sell that stock. If Amazon cannot add the transparency code to those units on our behalf and thus activate protection for the SKU, our only option would be the costly removal order or all units.

There is a sell-through period of 30 days Transparency step 4: Pass the Operational Performance Review (OPR) Seller University video at about the 5:12 minute mark. Please also note, there are several steps after enrollment that lead to OPR and that timeframe will vary based on your operation.
No, because Transparency labels must be applied at manufacturing to all products, not just what is sold on Amazon. There are several options available to choose including integrating the transparency code in your packaging. Please reference the Transparency step 2: Choose integration types and application methods Seller University video.
