Can EDI be used with Seller Central for 3P Direct to Customer shipments? Or 3P solutions?
We have been doing business with Amazon Vendor Central for a long time, and we've always used EDI to transfer Order and Fulfillment documents.
We recently created a Seller Central account to ship Direct-To-Cutomer (Not FBA) and we wanted to use the old AMTU application to transfer files, but we see that the application is no longer available. My understanding is that we now must use an application developed to use an SP-API to transfer files. And, to develop such an application, we need to pass all of the PII privacy questions in the developer application. yes, it's a hassle, but we're working on that now.
Questions:
- Can we use EDI with Seller Central?
- Is there a third-party 3P application that would provide us with the necessary Direct-To-Customer Order and Fulfillment files either in EDI or XML format?
We really need an end-to-end automated solution, and it feels like this process is more complex than it needs to be.
Suggestion?

Hi @Seller_SOMdkSof5yZiv,
Thank you so much for the thread!
Since your questions here are related to third party services, I unfortunately do not have insights on these applications. When you have a moment, I would recommend opening a case with Seller Support with these questions, they may be able to connect you with the corresponding team who may be more suited to provide you these answers.
If you do open a case with Seller Support, please feel free to send me the case ID and I'd be happy to follow along with that conversation.
Thanks again,
Jameson
