A+ Content and SEO
We recently started actively adding A+ Content to our listings. However, I have a concern about how this affects internal Amazon SEO.
From what I’ve researched, the text and images in A+ Content (including image alt-text) are indexed by Google but not by Amazon’s own search algorithm. At the same time, when A+ Content is added, it replaces the standard product description, which is indexed by Amazon's search engine.
This raises a key question:
If Amazon doesn't index A+ Content, but removes the standard product description when it's added, are we actually hurting our internal search visibility by using A+ Content?
Is there any clarification or recent update from Amazon on this? How do other sellers handle this trade-off?

If you have submitted Alt Text as required for A+ Content Modules, that text will be used to develop search results as can be seen on the Create A+ content help page:
You are required to submit alt-text, previously known as image keywords. If you choose a previously uploaded image from the Media Library, you can use the existing alt-text on the image or customize the alt-text for that content. Alt-text should be a simple sentence describing the image (for example, “Blender on kitchen counter next to fruit, yogurt, orange juice, and a smoothie glass”). Alt-text does not show on the product detail page, but is used by visually impaired customers and screen reader apps, and helps your products in search results.
