AMAZON HORROR STORIES_ let's hear them, I'll start
1. I was recruited to be involved with amazons accelerator program, as a path to private label supplier for amazon- being a supplier for their brands. After 1 year and an EXTRA 7% fees charged on all sales, they ended the program. NO- we didn't get our money back. Amazon just made another 50k off my sales.
2. year ago after having my BEST month ever selling on amazon, Jan 29,2023 did $2600 in sales, Jan 30, 2023, $1500. Units of sale that day went down by 1/2 OVERNIGHT. The sas program had no asnwer to this- except expand my catalog - DUH and advertise more. I was advertising just fine the day before. Needless to say I had placed a LARGE deposit based on projections for the upcomign. year and there went a huge chuck of my money. Sales never came back- a chinese competitor who now dominates the market, had taken my sales. GONE.
3. THE KICKER and nail in my amazon success coffin- their AI system changed my title in Jan, and I had to battle for them to change it back- the title didn't even make sense. They refused b/c the "beauty" category only allows 50 characters- EVERY SINGLE OTHER CHINESE seller wasn't facing that limitation. I told them this, and they told me to report those sellers.
I got my title back after emailing my SAS manager's manager- but the Damage is DONE- I am down another $1000 a day- my business is gone- but don't worry- AMAZON LENDING keeps taking their money out of my disbursements.
AS A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER amazon you have destroyed my life- oh and I've been selling for over a decade. You've made millions off my business and now I'm left destitute- this has GOT TO STOP! YOU ARE DESTROYING THE SMALL BUSINESSES THAT MADE AMAZON AMAZON!!!!!

Im so sorry to hear this happened. I am not sure if you have your own product & someone copied it, or how this happened.
I too, have my own product, and worry everyday that it will get copied somehow. I also was doing amazing sales, my product was showing up with the proper keywords, I had 5 star reviews, people were curious & wanted to try it, then overnight it stopped. Mine was a different reason, as they felt it should be in the adult category.
I get ignored from SS, case closed responses. I make less then half the sales, & I pay for advertising now just to get the sales I have. I once thought I could quit my other job. But sometimes I feel like this is a hobby. I also have my own site, and sell on other platforms, but people love their Amazon.
Other then giving my bit of horror story, since you had a loan, I wanted to mention that I once read here that someone had an issue, and contacted the lending dept to discuss the situation, and they got the correct person to help.

what's sad is that all of this will bite them in the end. 100%. I don't think they'll die as a company, of course. They're massive. But, I do think they're passing over the peak of the hill and headed...... Unfortunate to see tbh. Sorry about what has happened to you. Sending love your way. Sucks to see a company with so much potential lose what it's original purpose and meaning was. Chasing something else that in the end will bury them
