FBA is a scam

This is a scam, I will never stock FBA

On March 8, I was deducted 1400 USD storage fee, today I was deducted Long-term storage fee 832.62. What the hell happened?

It sounds like you did not fully understand the services and fees FBA provides. Selling on Amazon and using FBA is not a good fit for everything. YOU as the business owner need to do the math and decide if it works for you.

FBA may be many things, but it's not a scam.

Sounds like you sent far more inventory to FBA than you could expect to sell in a reasonable time.

FBA is intended to FULFILL orders; it's not a storage facility.

All of these fees are spelled out in the terms. Sounds as if you didn't fully understand them, or you grossly miscalculated how well your product would sell. Either way, the fault is not Amazon's.

Don't forget they now charge you for low inventory on your FBA items.

I mean they can just charge you a ridiculous fee for having your item in their warehouse. FBA is a hostage kidnapping game

I'm not sure I understand how it's a scam. They clearly state the CBF storage rate, along with the aged inventory surcharge.

Did you look at these storage rates and consider how long your inventory would be in FCs BEFORE you sent them in?

Perhaps you need to learn and study Seller University.

There are multiple fees for FBA and the storage fee is one of them.

You can see those fees for each product you're selling on the Manage Inventory page.

This isn't something new and it's your own fault for not learning before agreeing to the seller agreement.

Amazon really needs to start requiring IQ and reading comprehension tests before allowing people to be sellers

Or...as is typical. Amazon didnt measure things correctly, miscategorized things etc and he owes them substantially less.

Yes, that is possible.

Amazon can make mistakes. But if they are charging the wrong amount due to a size mis-measure, and you don't catch it until the items have been there so long that you are being charged LTSF, then you're a little late complaining.

Frankly, I don't think (based on the phrasing of the question) that the OP was even aware of LTSF until being charged them. Amazon makes mistakes, but this really sounds like someone who did not bother to do the proper research, both on policy and how much they could reasonably expect to sell.

They can only charge you for the amount of items YOU decide to send in. You obviously miscalculated what the appropriate amount was.

And stop thinking of it as "warehouse". Think of it as "Fulfillment Center". It's not there to act as long term storage for your inventory.

FBA actually works great. If you do not sell an item fast, it sits there for long time. Amazon has to pay rent for that space. Amazon could move more products and make more money. It is an opportunity cost for Amazon. If you rented space for your product, you would have to pay for it. So, consider that it is a rent for your space. So, I am telling you, FBA can be many things, but not a scam. If is a wonderful tool if you use it wisely.

Sounds like you got hit on long term storage. I assume you sell books. You are correct, you should reconsider FBA if you have slow moving products like books. I've been there before since I sold books back in the day. Some books can take up to a year to sell. But they can be a diamond in the rough when the right person finds them. Maybe pull back those slow movers and fulfill yourself.

FBA Def not a scam. You need to understand logistics my friend. No shade. Just stating fact.
