Selling items at or below manufacturer msrp, yet listings are removed.

Hello, we continually see listings being removed that "violate" the fair pricing policy. However, all these listings are at or below the price on the manufacturer's own website. We point this out to amazon Seller Support and all we get back is that we "violated" the policy. This is ridiculous. What can we do??

Well selling below the MSRP would violate the agreement that sellers must not exceed a max price set by the manufacturer.

If by manufacture's website you mean a retail facing site, well I see nothing wrong here. They are selling to the public at one price and requiring others to do the same.

On a website with wholesale prices avail only to authorized wholesale buyers I would expect to see lower prices, unless the manufacture wishes to dominate the Amazon platform and sell to the public at wholesale prices.

Amazon lives in their own fantasy land. They scan the internet and DO NOT include the shipping costs for any competing sites in their results.

Something can be $19.99 plus $9.99 shipping on one obscure site out there and Amazon only sees the $19.99.

Have you tried to add min/max prices to see if that would help? For the 'fair pricing' issue it probably won't but it's worth taking 30 seconds to add them in and see.

Hi @BGB_Analytik_USA_LLC,

You will ultimately need to either adjust the price or provide a dispute about how the current price is not a policy violation. When updating, you may be able to change the minimum and maximum prices based on any available recommended prices.

You may also want to consider how the shipping prices affects the final amount your buyer is actually paying since that is included within the fair pricing policy. You can find that policy here.

Regards,

Troy
